Dingley's Promise
Lanyado Fund
Dingley’s Promise West Berkshire and Boogie Mites joined forces to explore how music can open new doors for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The result was a joyful, transformative pilot that left a lasting impact on children, families, and practitioners alike.
Funded by the Lanyado Fund, the project combined hands-on practitioner training, inclusive music sessions, and family workshops. Children – many of whom typically found group settings challenging – became confident, vocal, and engaged.

Cranmer Primary School
Cranmer Primary School’s ARP supports autistic pupils with complex communication needs, many pre-verbal. By embedding Boogie Mites into their provision, staff have created an inclusive, multi-sensory approach to early language.
Boogie Mites is a powerful tool for SEND, using music, rhythm and movement to unlock communication, build attention and support regulation. Pupils engage, vocalise and connect in ways traditional methods don’t always reach.
The impact spans communication, early literacy, social interaction and joy, giving every child a voice through music.
Mary Rose Academy
PCC Inclusion Grant
Mary Rose Academy is a special education school where all pupils have moderate to severe physical and/or learning disabilities. There are also a considerable number of students with autism spectrum disorder. Boogie Mites music sessions were adapted to give maximum inclusion and ensure all children could take part in their own way.
For many children with additional needs it is very difficult for them to express themselves, especially if they are non-verbal. Music is often the key to sharing their feelings, there were some really joyful moments during the sessions.
Parents were given ideas to use at home with the Boogie Mites app so they can continue to enjoy music time together with confidence.
