Meet Abigail
Boogie Mites are pleased to announce an exciting collaboration with Early Years Specialist, Abigail Carr, who is based in Hong Kong. Abigail has been showcasing and integrating Boogie Mites music into her work, to strengthen foundations for literacy, boost wellbeing for everyone involved and to support children’s school readiness through music.

Abigail Carr is a Registered Kindergarten Teacher, Principal, and Lecturer at Hong Kong Baptist University, Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education and The Education University of Hong Kong. With 28 years of experience in Early Childhood Education across Hong Kong, the UK, and Malaysia, she specialises in fostering children’s social and emotional development, with a strong emphasis on early language and literacy learning. Abigail advocates for a balanced approach, starting with developing deep relationships with children and extending their enjoyment of learning through songs, music and stories. She believes these are crucial elements for growing young children’s vocabulary and conversational skills. Abigail empowers educators and families through workshops, coaching, and consulting to nurture confident, lifelong learners.
Abigail works with mums of young children, taking them from anxious and unsure about their child’s behaviour and learning, to connected and trusting of the processes to positively influence their moral character and academic outcomes. Abigail also helps teachers and schools, through custom training and mentorship, to provide the operational school culture, the pedagogy and the staff professional development required to maximise the learning outcomes of children in early years classrooms.
