Our mission is to offer early years practitioners and families, the knowledge, resources and confidence to harness the brain boosting fun of active music making each and every day!
The Boogie Mites ABCD Music Methodology underpins all that we do. For over 25 years, Boogie Mites has worked with early years children, teachers, parents, practitioners and advisors. Our methodology, our music programmes and training, are informed by their feedback, evolving neuroscience evidence and continual evaluation of our work.
This course takes a closer look at the four pillars of our ABCD Music Methodology – Active Attention, Brain Boost, Community Cohesion and Daily Dose. Each module includes a Boogie Mites song and linked activities for you to try out, and we put all of those songs together into a music workshop format in the final module.
The course will equip you with the following outcomes:
- Confidence to provide impactful music making activities
- Knowledge to understand how this impacts children’s development
- Resources to complement traditional songs and rhymes, harnessing the power of a rich and varied repertoire of recorded music for developing the superpower of sound processing and rhythmic awareness
Course guidance
We suggest that you undertake one module per week and use the rest of that week to introduce and practice the new song with your children.
