Course Structure

The course will be delivered and supported by a Boogie Mites Family Learning Tutor who will meet you at the venue each week.

There will also be home learning activities that will need to be completed between the sessions, and your tutor will ask you to complete learning diaries each week. Your tutor will review and feedback on home learning activities that you complete, and they will update you on your personal objectives.

Your Commitment

If you enrol, you must commit to complete the course. Completion of the course comprises attending all of the sessions. You must also complete a learning diary each week to cover what has been learnt and to record homework activities. You will have one homework activity to complete each week, such as making a shaker or a sensory toy to use in music sessions.

When You Enrol

Once enrolled you will be emailed a response detailing the location of the course. You will receive further information about the location and details of any covid-secure arrangements before the course begins. You may be asked to confirm your attendance in the case of fully booked courses.

After the Course
At the end of the course you will be asked to evaluate what you have learnt and how this will continue to benefit you and your child. You will also be given the opportunity to express an interest in attending further HCC Adult Learning courses. If you complete the course you will be given access to the digital resources for the course – songs, videos and notes so that you can continue to practice together at home.
Further Questions

We would like to encourage you to enrol and complete this course, because practising the activities will give your children a head start with their development. Boogie Mites are passionate about the benefits of music for early years development and look forward to sharing this with you through the course. Music is also a fun shared activity, which is beneficial in many ways. Although the course is aimed at adult learning it will of course be a huge benefit to your children’s social, emotional, communication, language and physical development, particularly if you keep up home practice after the course.

Places are limited, your acceptance onto the course will be confirmed by email once the Enrolment form is processed.

Please contact Lucy via email at [email protected], stating your location and the age of your child(ren), for more information.
