Launch of Innovative SEN Music and Movement Programme
Boogie Mites Launches Innovative New Programme
Boogie Mites were proud to launch their innovative new programme ‘Sticks and Sounds’ at the National Portage Association annual conference 23rd – 25th September. We delivered three highly successful seminars over the course of the weekend, demonstrating songs from the programme to Portage workers and parents. No encouragement was needed for attendees to join in with the fun and accessible songs, and the feedback was magnificent, with many attendees left wanting more than the 1 ¼ - hour session!
Sticks and Sounds has been developed to support music – making and wider learning goals for children from Early Years to Key Stage 2 with additional needs, their parents and the practitioners who work with them. There are separate resource packs for parents and practitioners, but both include ideas for activities that can take place before and during the songs and ways of developing and extending the themes.
